Lu Ping and Julia from our Search team want to share some exciting updates from the latest Google Ads Academy training.

These new tools and insights could offer fresh opportunities to drive performance across your campaigns.

As we move closer to 2025, the digital landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Web design, as a pivotal element of this landscape, is undergoing significant transformations. Staying ahead of these trends is crucial for designers and businesses alike to ensure they remain competitive and relevant. In this post, we explore the most promising web design trends set to shape the online world in 2025.

Google Power Pack: New Bundle for Smarter Ads

Google has launched a new product bundle called the Power Pack, aimed at helping advertisers connect with users throughout their purchase journey—Streaming, Scrolling, Searching, and Shopping. It includes;

AI Max for Search

We’ll be testing this out for clients in a measured way. Where relevent we’ll introduce into our testing framework.

A new AI-powered approach combining Broad Match, asset optimisation, and brand controls. AI Max uses keywordless targeting—pulling from your landing page content, existing keyword lists, and audience signals to serve relevant ads (similar to Dynamic Search Ads, but smarter).

It’s designed to respond to seasonal trends and behavioural shifts without needing complex campaign structures. For example, a Mother’s Day promo on your site could automatically trigger impressions on queries like “Mother’s Day gift,” even if not explicitly targeted.

Google reports up to 27% performance uplift for campaigns currently relying on phrase or exact match.

Now available in open beta.

Performance Max (PMax)

Performance max new channel reporting feature is being rolled out in open beta across all accounts. This gives visibility into user journeys across multiple channels—helping identify which are driving the most conversions.

Demand Gen

A video and image-based campaign type that runs across YouTube and the Google Display Network. It’s designed to engage users likely to express interest or purchase—Google even claims it outperforms TikTok in this space. You now also have greater control over which channels your ads appear on.

Here are a few actions we recommend considering:

  • AI Max: Try launching a test campaign using AI Max for Search to explore its performance benefits.

  • Performance Max:

We’ll have more transperancy into Performance Max – which means we will be able to better optimise

  • Demand Gen: Explore Demand Gen campaigns, especially using Lookalike segments to grow your customer base.

If interested, we can help request beta access through our Google reps.

If you’d like to discuss how these updates could be applied to your campaigns, just let us know—we’re happy to talk through the options.
